So far the book is super confusing and the names of the characters are very weird, still English names, but odd ones. I'm concerned because it's not a very interesting read but I would still like to try to read some genres and books outside of what I'm used to, or what was picked out for me from someone else. I don't really like the author's way of writing either, he doesn't go into details & doesn't describe {...}

I think this book is a quick read because nothing really happens. The author does a really good job elaborating on the daily lives of some teenagers where everything is normal except for the fact that the two teens that the book is about, don't know each other but both listen to a 'tape'. If I skim through some pages, I won't miss out much on what's happening overall.

The book is told through the perspective of a teenage girl who seems sarcastic but she also might be the last person on earth -how is she so relaxed, explaining this to the reader???

I feel like the "Annalise" that Nathan thinks is his true love, is either fake or she's betraying them somehow.

Which so far, seems to be a sequel because sometimes the second book in a series doesn't continue from where the author left off in the first book, but she does, in this case.

The man mentioned that white witches had silvery eyes and black witches don't, and Half bloods have eyes like rivers, the black/white/half all seem like race categories.

The book talks about "black witches" and "white witches" and though it seems so far, that the witches aren't based on complexion, it still reminded me of the times that racism was treated like normal

The book was good through the beginning and the middle but the ending was so confusing. I would recommend this book but also to see what others thought of the ending and discuss.

The book cover immediately caught my attention because of its graphics and creativity, and so "don't judge a book by it's cover" can be true, but it doesn't always hurt to have an interesting cover either.

the characters are in the adirondack mountain range, (in lake placid) on whiteface mountain, in which, i hiked up the mountains close to whiteface, so its crazy having been to where the characters currently are.

I'm getting the vibe that it may be similar to "The Giver"

Just finished the book, it wasn't much like anything I usually read, seems more like one of the "classics" following the genre of RF and I would say it ended at a pleasurable note.
