This is such an anxious read, my chest hurts honestly

I am very intrigued - I don’t normally read fiction like this, so it’s a bit new for me!

solid progress today

Slowly making my way through this, half hour bus ride at a time

This book is DENSE, I might as well return my other library books now because this is all I’m gonna be reading for a while

I am totally devouring this book but now I have to go sleep and therefore I can’t finish this book and now I’m upset

Listening as an audiobook in parts.

I’m keeping notes as I read, of stanzas I find interesting, etc. overall though I am lost

Wow I’m totally amazed at how I didn’t know anything about how ignorant I was to the differences in the ways the federal government has interacted with Inuit. This is extremely insightful and I’ve been enjoying listening to this as the narrator is the author themselves

I also distinctly remember the age of 12 - it is interesting to see the similarities between us considering Porter grew up in the 40s.

This is my first time reading contemporary poetry, ever. I also don't have much of a history with reading and analyzing poetry. That is to say, I'm not sure I have any idea what I'm reading!
