Really should have just been about Phaedra. It’s not GREAT but her struggles with postpartum depression are pretty much the only emotionally resonant part of this book.

The Phaedra chapters actually have some life to them! Why wasn’t she the narrator at this point? The author seems to have no idea what to do with Ariadne

This book is just not as gripping as its predecessors but I do know how it ends and it feels like there are dominos being set up to fall painfully later on. I hope.

Well, I'm not going to finish Read Harder this year as I swore I would do haha. However I got further than I ever have and read some great books through it. I'm more excited for the 2020 list so maybe I will finally get this challenge done next decade.
