This book slaps!! Your girl loves an epistolary novel, and Dracula is actually hilarious??? It's only hilarious now, because of the dramatic irony--where we all know everything about Dracula--but I love that. I love it very much.

I was more interested in the mythology than the story being told (as usual, when there's a good mythology), but it was still a pretty good spin on Beauty and the Beast. I hope to learn more about the mythology in book two!!

This book is very bad, but it's so short I feel like I have to finish it. It started off giving me Terry Pratchett vibes, but now it's lists of a bunch of alien species Valente has invented, and she can good at this stuff when it's useful to the story, like all the worlds she invented in Fairyland, but this is just...lists. The story itself is moving glacially. It's very upsetting.

I 1000% love this book, and it already has me itching to read Feet of Clay again. More golem stories, please!!
