My book auto returned to the library at ch 24 out of 37 downloadable chapters. NoOoOoOoooo

I don’t like these characters and the plot line is pretty mundane but I can’t quite stop reading because I need to find out what happened at that damned barbecue! It can’t be but so bad. Everyone appears to still be alive.

“Maybe normal people use lists as they are meant to be used, as a daily reminder of things that should be taken care of somewhat soon. I don’t like to do things that make sense, so I use lists as a way of outlining how theoretically busy I am while also setting myself up for an infinity loop of self-loathing over my failure to get an impossible amount of things done.”

Also, a great quote: “I’d like to think if the men (and let’s face it it’s largely men) who create family leave policy in this country suddenly found themselves back at work with new bodies, rampaging hormones, and a not-small risk of spontaneously ejaculating every time meetings ran long, things would change. (It’s not a perfect analogy, I know. They’d probably just schedule more extra long meetings.)”

On page 15 and I’ve laughed and cried already. I love this.
