I was given a copy for a fair review. I liked this book, the relationships were very raw and complex. Both the mother and the babysitter do drink a lot. I mean a lot. They go through their lives still reeling from the damage they suffered from their moms from childhood. Bad choices are made and they seem to pass on the pain to family. I found it interesting Lady disowned her mother, and so worried her son leaver her.
