So many eccentric personalities packed into one town!

This book, while definitely flawed, is not quite as meritless as people have made it out to be.

Going all the way back to 1969 with this one. Plenty of stuff here that has not aged well, but there are a lot of details I'm seeing for the first time. I'm curious if they were debunked or just forgotten.

All these French names are really throwing me for a loop.

I wouldn’t call this an easy read, but it does provide a lot of key context missing from other books.

Most of this book is just regaling anecdotes like “staffers for X say he acted like an abusive jerk,” followed by “X says he has no recollection of said event.”
