One of the most boring books I have ever read. Took me way too long to get through it. Too many characters that were completely unnecessary.

Here's is a shining example of military prowess by a nuclear engineer. He claims the surface ships had "water-penetrating radar." Hello, radar does not work in water, what the hell are you talking about?

"...Nuclear Power Engineer (NPE) is one of the most overlooked when considering military prowess." What is that even supposed to mean? If it means what I think, then you are wrong. Mr. Roberts. The nuclear engineers on my aircraft carrier were clueless about anything but nuclear engineering.

There is no such thing as a "Gulf" class submarine. It is "Golf."

"It is fortunate indeed that the Soviets abandoned this line of development." Ok, so why? This guy never finishes a coherent thought.

Dear author, if you are going to trash talk about the former CNO, you'd better provide facts. Just insulting him is cheap and disrespectful. This book sucks.

If you are going to use acronyms, how about defining them? I know what CYA means, but not everyone does. I can't believe I'm forcing myself to read the whole thing....

I don't know why I continue reading books written by these guys who think they have something to say just because they can.....The Russian submarine that sank in 2000 was the Kursk, NOT the KursT!!! Jeez, if you want to write a book, get a damned editor!!!!!!!!!

How can you have the same word (Rota) on the page twice, but misspelled (Roha) once????

Why does this author put Naha in italics??? It's a city. This book is so poorly edited it's making me mad.

Poorly edited. Also, apparently written by a right winger who inserts his opinion into a work that has nothing to with politics.

I would love to finish this tonight!!!
