Can't remember how long I've had this book just sitting on my shelf waiting for me to open it--close to 10 years? I suppose this is why we readers buy books with no immediate plans to read them. So that when the world explodes, it is sitting there, waiting for us, helping to describe a bit about where this explosion came from.

Page count may be inexact - audiobook. Just thought it interesting to note how there's some general concern/forecasting at how oil based sovereign wealth funds would explode to $15 trillion and I'm sitting here on other side of 2014 like Tyler the Creator thinking, "so that was a fucking lie"

What I'm saying is, it's nice to see a worrisome forecast just not come true. Like, "hey" the worst doesn't ALWAYS happen

All right, last time I read a DFW novel for the first time. Let's do this.

Nice. I just want everyone to know that I know I've been dormant on here for like a few years but if you've stuck around I am going to have very loud opinions about this book. It is incredible. It is so many words. Hate reading Bret Easton Ellis is my thing and I know I shouldn't have bought the book but I did. Hate read with me. But don't buy it. C'mon. Use good praxis
