Eirene Ritznore is on page 102 of 430 of A Most Extraordinary Pursuit (Emmaline Truelove, #1)
My first foray into Miss Truelove's adventures and I'm loving every snippet of it, from the dedication to Maestro Verdi to the banter about opera aboard the yacht Isolde with Lord Silverton. Twist my arm to take a trip to Greece, even if it's literarily rather than literally. (See what I did there.) Throw in a bit of opera and I'm your girl. Gray is hitting all my Achilles heels, and I couldn't be happier.

This book is a positive delight. Though I have not finished it, I already recommend it highly. The crafting of Sherlock and his siblings into women is expertly done, not to mention the evolution of Watson. What a stellar achievement! The angst and emotion of the cases that are being worked, the development of secondary characters- all superb!

I am thoroughly surprised at how much I'm enjoying this book. I must admit that I am usually suspect of re-visions of classics; I was a little leery of anyone who would try to re-craft Sherlock Holmes. However, Sherry Thomas is doing an excellent job. The psyche of Sherlock/Charlotte is well developed and in keeping with the original Sherlock. I appreciate that.

This book is just clipping along. The pace is excellent. The suspense is building fantastically. While there are characters who seem pleasant enough, everyone has a bit of an edge that leaves me a tad uneasy. Cornwall and her history are heavily featured. I love how the history impacts on the suspense. Spooky...
