This book is making me unspeakably angry. I hate this man.

I’m only on the first chapter and this man is already giving “not like other girls”

There’s moments of good in this, and the spicy scenes are the super good, but it’s mostly just so meh..

Really wish I was liking this more, but I really don’t know what the point of this is…random stuff is happening but the through line is so muddy.

Having a tough time with this one… I like the interactions between the main two characters but I like little else about it. And they’ve used my least favourite trope, the corset as a “torture device” trope. Tell me you’ve done no research without telling me.

I like the dialogue, but the inner monologue is at times way too edgy and cringe. Not a great one to follow up Never the Roses with, maybe if I’d read this after Quicksilver I’d feel differently 😅

My friend was not lying that this would make me want to kick my feet as I’m reading. I’m OBSESSED. Stearanos is the best love interest I’ve read about in a loooooooong time.

I was so skeptical going into this but omg this is actually incredible!

K I am loving this BUT I’m confused about what Jane does and doesn’t know. She asks why would she know any music past 1975, doesn’t know who Joy Division is and asks if they’re new, but then has cassettes from the 80s and 90s?

Having a way better time with this now. It’s definitely written like a fairy tale, which is to say the somewhat detached perspective feels intentional

The best way I can describe this so far is monotone. Everything is delivered in the same way, there is not really any variation in tone or intensity at any point.

Ugh the big reveal of where Fisher was and why he can’t speak about what happened to him is contrived and dumb as hell.

Also “SPAYED???” What?????

“Knocked him for six?” I had no clue what this meant until I looked it up and now I’m going to assume cricket the sport or some variation of it exists in this fantasy universe then since apparently that’s where this idiom comes from.
