Do I finish this book because it is so historically significant as the first English novel?
Or do I not finish because it is already SO tedious and there is SO much more to go?

How bad editing can kill your point, especially in a book about literature (from p. 51): "Even if no sea captain ever pursued a white while across the wide seas . . ." Oops.
