DNF… not from lack of trying! My version is a revamp where King added back some characters & plot lines cut from the 1978 pub. He should have left it alone. My poor brain can’t connect all the threads 300 pages in!

Going to read this fresh once we are closer to book club!

I’m going to put this one down… the story is very predictable & at this point too bleak to continue. A disappointment compared to The Great Alone.

Happily collapsing into the world of cozy, with this choice.

I unfortunately have to put this book down for a while. I was just getting into it but the graphic detail of child's death really left me shaking. I'm chalking this up to the dire times we live in and that I'm just not emotionally able to handle this story right now. I have no doubt it's a good one/well-written; it's me.

I hope it's not just me but I'm having to skim through the Domenico Tempesto sections :(

I'm really enjoying this, however, it feels never ending at this point!

Sometimes a gal just needs a good mystery like a comfy old shoe. Sue Grafton is my comfy, trusty and reliable, pair of old shoes. Can't wait.

I'm hoping I can fall in love with Maria Semple like other people have, though this is worst collectively reviewed book I've seen so far on Goodreads.
