Can't wait to take my sweet time in reading this classic.

Okay it's a Cassandra Clare book so obviously I would love it but I find Mathew, Cordelia and James so flat as character. I like Cordelia when she is alone but when she is on the page with either of these two, it's just bleh.

Although I can't really relate to Marriane or Connell, something about this books makes me sad.

I have only started but oh my god, it's so hard to read the pages with Ryle in it. It's hard for me to see a character interact with their abuser and the abuser talking like they deserve forgiveness and a redo.

Can I have this book without Ryle?
