I just finished The Second Born: ‘The Gant House’ and gave it 5 stars.
This is the third book of Arnold Robinson’s trilogy.
Definitely a page turner.
Arnold writes of his childhood growing up in southern Ohio with his parents and siblings during the 1960s.
With an alcoholic, preacher father and devout mother who held her family together.
The tragedy he and his family survive is unbelievable.

Did not finish. Although I really lived Veronika Gasparyan’s other book, I did not care for this one. It did not read like a true story but like a novel.

I just finished The Dirty Days: A Young Girl’s Journey to and from the Oklahoma Dust Bowl and gave it 5 stars.
