Gotta be honest, I'm getting a bit bored. This story is mostly inner dialogue about our main characters' obsession/connection. In my opinion, it's not moving the plot forward.
I'm giving it a break for a while.

I'm listening to the audiobook narrated by Maria McCann. Loving it so far.

I'm up to chapter 27 and life for Katherine and James is definitely busy and it looks to get busier. Mark's life is also moving on but I have to say what's the rush - a year being a widower is a blink; I'd expect my hubby to be in black mourning for decades! Lol! Or maybe not 😘

I am really enjoying this story; I like the different perspectives, the humour and I can definitely relate to the "new mum" issues! Hell on earth - but worth it in the end. 😘

I am really enjoying this book; I like the different perspectives. James the wonderful husband, Katherine the wife and Mark the astrologer (James' boss). It's an easy book to read and I wonder how autobiographical Katherine's character is for Ms Halton.

I am really enjoying this book; I like that it's a first person point of view. Most of the chapters are from Mark's but we have had one from Katherine's.

The first chapter and I'm already loving this story. I have read one of the author's other books and I am pleased to say that I like how she writes her stories; they're very easy to read and you get immersed straight away.

Up to chapter 6. I like how we're getting 2 stories for the price of 1. William's tale of his first taste of being a seaman and his father's, James, tale of his first adventure with Francis Drake.

Up to chapter 5. Well the poo has hit the fans and it's a last ditch attempt to save Marsden Hall. Perhaps it won't just be William that learns a valuable lesson.

Up to chapter 4. Hee!Hee! I did smile to myself knowing our pupils will be oblivious to the fact that James Marsden was feeling ill due to the alcohol he'd consumed with Captains Milburn and Drake.

Up to chapter 3. I'm reading this children's book with 47yrs of life experience under my belt and a fair knowledge of British history. I am enjoying it so far; it certainly doesn't feel dumbed down.

This book is our class guided reading. First chapter was introducing the Marsden family. Our narrator is William the son and heir to the estate.

I am reading this as a group read with the pupils at school.

It's funny reading a story where Thor is such a douche, takes some getting used to but the various backstories have got me cheering at the thought of him getting his comeuppence

Goodness, we're only up to the 4th chapter and Atticus is knee deep in trouble. Luckily Oberon is by his side with his wisdom and wit.

This story starts 3weeks after Hounded (book 1) left off.

Oh flippin' 'eck I think I was actually holding my breath; fantastic tension, twists and battle scene! Bravo Mr Hearne

I'm up to chapter 17 and I can say, with complete honesty, I love Oberon. What a fantastic character; every book should have an Irish Wolfhound.

Really loving this story; the writing style is intelligent, irreverent and creative. I'm enjoying the mix of mythology and fantasy.

I'm enjoying this book so far. The first 3 chapters have been informative and humorous plus we've already had a fight scene.

I really enjoyed this story. There's lots going on; many characters with intertwined stories. The rest of the book is sort of "extras".

It's late, my eyes are heavy but the action is really picking up speed! I don't want to stop reading...

Loving the duel scenes playing out at the moment - the Them (Adam, Pepper, Wensleydale and Brian) and Anathema Device (witch and descendant of Agnes Nutter) and Newt Pulisfer (witchfinder).

Am I the only one to hear Discworld's Death when reading this book? 😉

I just wanted to mention the four horsemen of the apocalypse - brilliant, clever, subtle!

I love the way that small insignificant details turn out to be linked to other perceived small insignificant details. Well done Mr Gaiman and Mr Pratchett (RIP).

I really like our two main (opposing) characters - Crowley and Aziraphale - their thoughts, perceptions and actions are brilliantly written and I'm finding a smile on my face regularly.

I like the artistic licence played with history and biblical events, the satire surrounding everyday, mundane decisions - brilliant and highly amusing.

I'm really enjoying the PG Woodhouse style crossed-purposes and misunderstandings ;-)

This has already made me smile and chuckle; it's the sarcasm and the satire.
