Ok so I knew it wasn’t going to be the as the musical
I haven’t really seen or read anything about the book but I knew that

I just thought there’d be more story but a similar tone

like page 2 and they mention the witch might be born a hermaphrodite?!?

ok so I still don’t know exactly why the rat is icky sticky on the cover but rats themselves have already made an appearance so I dare say it’s not just for the horror aesthetics
