It’s kind of funny that she’s picked a male tortoiseshell cat since they’re almost impossible. The tortoiseshell pattern requires 2 X chromosomes so a male tortoiseshell is incredibly rare and more like intersex.

Okay I’m only 60% of the way through this book but I think I’m in love. There’s a library in this book and the books in the library are alive and they all have their own personalities. I love all of the books they have so much character. The humour in this book is great, and I’m very picky about humour. If you love magic and interesting world building I would 100% recommend this book.

She writes in a way that is very show don’t tell. It reminds me a bit of Good Omens or The Book Thief. I haven’t gotten very far yet but I’m intrigued.

I’m not sure I ship them. Their relationship seems a little unhealthy but maybe that changes.

So far so good. It took a bit to get started the magical aspects are very interesting. The names of some things confuse me. I wish there was a guide at the end of the book or something so I didn’t have to google. The world building is quite nice so far.

Not as good as MDZS but still an amazing read.
