Enjoying this very much. I do wish I had a print copy to check some of the language/words & check I’m understanding what I just listened to…but I don’t and it’s fine. Hoping this is the first in a series!

This is a fairytale disguised as a standard romance. I enjoy LP books generally - light, fun, sexy - but this one tries a bit too hard. These caricatures of a struggling woman & a gazillionaire with a heart of gold…well, I’ve seen it done before. But better. Maybe the second half will be better?

TBH, I just wanted to be in the Hugh and Mary world a bit longer and was THRILLED when I spotted this novella. I marked it “to read” based on the CS Harris connection when it was first released & am looking forward to that story, too. Loved the Kearsley & am slogging through the Huber (a new to me author) en route to Harris.

I kept getting interrupted at the start of this and having to reread to figure out the major characters… Now I can’t put it down. Depressing. Dark. Clever. Excellent so far.

I don’t want this to end!!! Looking forward to listening gets me out of bed in the morning!

Best surprise to find this in my audible library this morning!!! The Best historical mystery series - if you haven’t met Sebastian St. Cyr yet… What are you waiting for?!?!? I prefer them in audio (highly recommend) & am enjoying the new narrator.
