Reading this with my son for a mini book club for his English class. It was on a list as one of the first adventure novels! Slow to start but more action in the middle!

DNF at 50%. Started it as an audiobook on a trip. This is not my genre. Plot was slow and I found myself rolling my eyes too often at things the characters did/said!

I’ve gone too far to stop reading this one, even though the plot drags and there’s tons of unnecessary backstory. I will press on!
