I am half way finished reading this very long, verbose tome. I am hopeful that some action will move the plot along....read this novel over 40 yrs ago in college and wanted to reread it.

I just reread The Lost Wife for my book club....still resonates....so poignant...so compelling a story.

I'm listening to this book and am now on disc 16 of 17 discs! A good detail of the Kennedys and American politics from FDR and 1932 to the present era.

reading on my Kindle...am learning and enjying this novel about early 20th c. Jerusalem and Jaffa from the viewpoint of a young girl then woman from a Haredi Orthodox family and how she wants to use her artistic abilities which are counter to her beliefs. Should she live to please herself or only g-d?

I could not read this book...too disturbing...did not hold my interest. How did I ever read this in high school?

I could not continue to read this book...did not grasp the content after reading about 60 pages.
