This is the first book in my Goodreads to read pile. It has been there since January 2011! 14 years! Now that the first arc is completed, I figured it was time to start.

This will be interesting reread. I loved her Liveship series and read it at least 3 times. This one, this will be first reread since I first read it 20 years ago. I have completely forgotten the story. I never enjoyed this series as much as her Liveship/RainWild series, but maybe time will change my perception.

I am thrilled to be back in Osten Ard. Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series was one of my favourite fantasy series and I have re-read many times. I have met Tad Williams in person, and such a nice person as well!

With season 2 Rings of Power coming up, I thought a refresher would be worthwhile. It has been almost 20 years since I have read it last.

My Harry Potter re-read has been a balm for my soul that is grieving. Lost a beloved cat of 19 years and a friend who died within a week of each other. It has been nice going back to a series where the good beats the evil,some humour and just a terrific story overall.
Haven’t read the series since I first started reading them in 2001 in my early 20’s.

First re-read! Last read it in 2001! We we see if it stands the test of time.

I don’t read thrillers, but there is a theatre production that we are going to that is based on this book. Being hard of hearing, I like reading sources of material before going to a play so I can understand what is going on.

I have been following Christine Sinclair since the 2003 World Cup and I became an instant fan of her. I play soccer and she just amazes me every time she is on the field. The best soccer player in the world. With the women’s World Cup coming up, and Sinclair’s last chance, I thought this would be the perfect time to read her biography.

We will see how this re-read ages. It has been about 20 years since I read it last. It was my first “introduction” to a more adult fantasy.

I need some humour in my books and something lighter as work is about to be intense in the next month.

Need a break from fantasy and this should do the trick!

I am glad to be re-reading this. I have forgotten everything in this book! Mind you, the last time I read this was back in 2016.

With the final book out, I have forgotten the previous novels, so time for a re-read of the series!

I loved the Daevabad Trilogy, so when this collection of stories set in the same world, I had to pick it up. Can’t wait to immerse myself in the world again!

Never read any of her books. I was more into epic/heroic fantasy like Lord of the Rings (gateway fantasy book was the Belgariad), and not sword and sorcery.
Right now it is very dated to me. Having a hard time connecting with the characters. Tiger is arrogant and misogynistic. Del is stubborn to a point of idiocy and naive.

A new Kay book! Interrupting my fantasy series read for this one!

I haven’t read this since high school (early ‘90’s for me) and I am sure have I a different perspective!

I have long wanted to see an prequel involving Ineluki and Hakatri facing off the Black Worm and the events that lead to Ineluki becoming the undead Storm King. I am trying to temper my expectations, but I am so excited!

I haven’t read this this book in over 20 years. It is one of my favourite childhood books. I forgot how magical this book is and I am loving it. It so hopeful in the tone.

Re-reading this after reading all of the stand alone books in the First Law world has been interesting. For instance, a comment by Nicomo Cosca (who I completely forgot that he shows up in this book) about Murcatto and a siege. That one comment is expanded in Best Served Cold! I need to re read since I completely forgot the Dagoska and the North storyline.

Another 80’s series that I have never read, even though I was old enough to read it. Feeling nostalgic for old school fantasy.

When a geologist opens a book by Adrian Tchaikovsky and the first page is a geological time chart, and the first chapter talks about trilobites, I know this will be a good book!

This is really good so far. The narrative structure definitely gives some suspense to what really happened. And I really like Anne....

I had a great time re-reading The Belgariad last year. Even though it was full of classic fantasy tropes, I loved every minute of it. This was my gateway fantasy book as a child and it brought me lots of happy memories. I am hoping re-reading The Mallorean will bring back those same warm and nostalgic memories!
