Hearing about the work that Michael J Fox has done in advocacy for Parkinson’s and other diseases has me gaining respect for him beyond his acting.

Politics come out full force in this one. Calls for a cease-fire, a constant fear of the exchange of nuclear fire…

Oh how we’ve learned nothing

Re-reading for the first time in 14 years.

I had forgotten that the interactions between Peeta and Katniss are much more intimate in the books than in the movie. It’s kinda got me fucked up.

The book feels altogether too relevant again. Would highly recommend re-reading in these fucked ass times :)

“My white friends continued their condescending attitude regarding my Native/‘mutt’ status, while a good number of my Skin friends also considered me a near-second-rate human, as an impure, all-mixed up iyeska”

OOF. This part hit too close to home.
