Loved this book. I appreciated the very human perspective of Bing, and insight into his world of golf, music career and family. It’s astounding to me that Bing is not known to the 21st century as easily as Elvis or Frank Sinatra, given that so much of our modern world was influenced by him. But Bing valued his solitude so much, maybe he’d like it that way. ? Thanks, Nathaniel, for sharing these stories.

I’m so close to finishing this book... I forget how long it takes me to read Dickens. I love every word but with 150 pages to go, all I want to say is “Get to the point!!!” Ha ha. I love Dickens.

When all the reader wants to do is throw that dang ring into the fire already, Tolkien is careful to detail every step of Frodo and Sam between Ephel Dúath and Orodruin just so YOU know that he knew every rock and pebble along the way. You can thereby be confident that he never committed a single cheat at writing. Bless him.

Now for it. The last gasp. Book Six. :)
