This conversation is what I've dreamed of during every empty back-and-forth I've ever read. These are the lines I yell at the stupid characters the author can't even make argue their purported stances, only better. There is actual thought and strategy. The characters are engaging in moral debate instead of throwing around half-baked cliches. Don't wake me up.

...Okay, these books are good so you get a free pass on supporting society's ridiculous alcoholic pressuring once, but I'm pissy enough to skip this one right now if it keeps going.

Even with the main character obviously headed for defection, I'm amazed I've lasted this long sympathizing with a bunch of suicide bombers and psychopathic religious fanatics. Maybe it's because of the previous book, and that the author's taking the right side as opposed to "objectively" or "artistically" "examining" a bunch of shitty-ass murderers to "understand humanity."

...Are their moons named fucking Laurel and Hardy?

Ugh. This isn't even his book and stupid William is already storming around, demanding things. At least no one's actually used the word "biddable."

I think these truly have to be the most irrefutably stupid characters I've ever seen. If I didn't know better I'd say the author was trying to win a contest.
