I am in love with Atwood's writing style. It goes from simple, almost Orwellian to incredibly metaphorical in the next moment.

I'm really enjoying how well King and Straub play off each other. It doesn't really become jarring to read from their different viewpoints. (I can however, tell Mr King wrote a chapter when they have had seven mental spirals within said chapter)

I don't think I've ever given Sir Pratchett enough credit for how he changes the tone, slang, thoughts and perspectives of characters to give you a glimpse into everyone's mind without plastering "Carrot" or "Lord Vetinari" on the page.

"The Watch hadn't liked it, but the plain fact was that the thieves were far better at controlling crime than the Watch had ever been."

My fantasy reading slump is finally out of the valley and in the mountains. Thank you Tamsyn Muir.

My husband asked for some company while he fixed my laptop. So I asked if I could read the Silmarillion out loud for him. He said it sounded like a different language xD

This goes into wayyyy too much details regarding how the church worked (the pragmatic and logistical stuff) instead of the cult itself and its impacted. I'm definitely disappointed

This book is a slog to get through and the author doesn't fully know how to portray grief.

I swear Kildanor is the only one who thinks things through
