This man writes with such poetry. The letter at the opening of this book to his nephew is so beautiful, insightful, blunt, and deeply loving, all at the same time. I'm looking forward to reading more.

This is has been incredibly amazing so far. Especially Chapter 4: "The Faults of Others". Mind genuinely blown. So much makes sense now.

Oh my goodness, this book is absolutely riveting. It is so fascinating to jump into the boots of a war photographer at the turn of the twentieth century, where publications assume photography is a less necessary art form now and where implicitly held rules against targeting journalists are essentially gone — even by the members of your home team. Such a great read.
