I put this book down ages ago. Turns out, right before the chapter about using big data on when readers put books down to determine traits of the best novels! Iconic.
Also, that chapter was 🔥. Meta jokes (books should never be more than 577 pages, the number of pages of this book) and 1984-like oxymoronic phrases about art ("Subjectivity is just objectivity waiting for data").
