Tom is such a wet blanket of a protagonist

Not me leaving years between books in a series and then struggling to remember why I’m meant to care about any of the characters

I can't take this book seriously when our supposedly 25 year old protagonist acts and sounds like a naive 16 year old.

This book desperately needed another round of edits before publishing. So many sentences with weird mixing of tenses, not to mention the amount of times scenes just transition without any warning

I swear I am making progress on this book, it's just that Ada has never met a point she didn't try to stretch to breaking point
