I am loving this book!!!

I want to know who “done” it, which is the only reason that I am going to finish this book. I read Death at the Bridge Table, or something like that by this author and thought this would be fun. The characters are painfully unbelievable. There is a 15 year old that acts like an annoyingly ill-behaved 5 year old. The head inspector is stupid. NO MORE BOOKS BY THIS AUTHOR!!

I am really enjoying this book. There were a few that felt as if she was writing the same book over, but these characters are wonderful. I have always loved Lynley and Havers, but have a new appreciation for Ncarta(sp) and his family. It is a tough topic, but needs to be brought up.

As they say in British murder mysteries, it is early days. I am at the setup of the book. So, no comment. My sister really liked the book, and I trust her.

If it weren’t December, I would read this at the beach. That is not a cut against the book, it is interesting and takes place on an island. Right now, 3.5 stars.

My dear friend described this book as black and white at the beginning and then bursts into magnificent color. This is true! Love Marge and Enid.

It got better quickly!

It got better quickly and I am up to 4.5 stars.

I loved the Cerulean Sea, so I was really looking forward to this book. I am not as enamored with Whispering Door. It’s like he needed to get a book out quickly. I am half done so I will see if it gets better. The characters are not as good and it is slow moving.

I am hating this book. The reader has an unpleasant voice which made this worse. The plot is ponderous. The angst of the protagonist is annoying. So far, this could have been a short story. If the person accusingly him of plagiarism is his girlfriend, I will demand a refund!!!

If you read nothing else, the chaper about saying the wrong thing is worth the price of the book. I read before I go to sleep and my husband was already asleep. I am laughing so hard and trying not to that the bed is shaking. I started to read to him and tears were coming down my cheeks, I was laughing so hard. Poor man, did not get to go to sleep until I finished the chapter.

The book is still engaging.

This is hardly a fast moving plot, but I am still loving this book. Maybe when I get to the end, I will be able to tell you why. But, I look forward to reading it every night.

I am loving this book, but I am still not sure why. It is about a portrait painter living alone on a mountain side. The man on the other side of the mountain had him paint his portrait and paid him a great deal of money, But, eveytime I sit down to read this, I only put it down because it is so late and I can't focus anymore. I am not sure I can recommend this book, but I still give it 5 stars! Go figure.

Still no clue why I am loving this book.

I am currently loving this book. It is about a divorced portrait painter. I am not sure why I am enjoying this so much. It sure isn't fast moving and exciting, but I can't put it down.

I am at the point where I am finding this a stupid annoying book. If I hadn't read this much of it, I would stop. The dialogue from the characters that are not robots sounds exactly like the characters that are robots. I am almost done. How could the author that wrote The Remains of the Day write this book!!!
