I am at the point where I am finding this a stupid annoying book. If I hadn't read this much of it, I would stop. The dialogue from the characters that are not robots sounds exactly like the characters that are robots. I am almost done. How could the author that wrote The Remains of the Day write this book!!!

This is a nobel prize winner's writing and I paid almost full price for a hard back book. I read Remains of the Day, so I looked forward to this book. Right at this moment it is 2.5 stars. If I were to guess, it was translated from Japanese as the dialogue from everyone is so "translated". I do not hold out too much hope for this to grow in to a 'favorites" book, but I will finish. Hope I'm not sorry.
