this book is INVALUABLE. The language and thought process around the issues is an indispensable part of Survivor Trauma work.

Can't you take a joke? section illuminated to me one aspect about why men who are violated, sexually assaulted, are differently affected.

I have this in both audible and kindle format. Upon listening again to how Science has so little to do with rape. That hit me as the biggest glitch in the "patrix" for holding men accountable in court, in the face of the law. A man saying he did not also plays into our human distaste for change, or rocking the boat, so he is believed. Accusers, mostly women, are asking the system to see its ugly side and react.

the fragmentation of our society is engaged with certain interpretations but all the same interesting. She poses a question that I feel the documentary "Century of the Self" (browse on Youtube) does and exemplary job of answering "HOW did we get here in such materialism?"

is my desire for a secular spirituality considered an oxymoron by many? What of the religious references & confusion betw New Age & yuppies? Only the new testament of patriarchal christianity talks of universal 'love' & so many who refer to the new testament distort this general call of universal love. The ones who hold love while talking truth to power, get assassinated. I mourn b.h.'s death. #EthicsofCare

Audible says I am on chpt 10. A symphony, and yet a symphonie in monologue. Other voices are almost the background sounds to indicate the context. I remember shifting away from imaging a personal life as a straight line. The circular movement of a forward moving spiral, twisting and orbiting in revisits to a place but in elapsed time, entropy, negentropy, syntropy in action on our selves and surroundings. So, here.

Thanks to some wise comments by fellow readers on Goodreads, I have been able to settle into the flow of his imagery. This then took a barrier away from how his descriptions of the countryside and the people are so similar to what I experienced as a foreigner living in another country's farmlands (vineyards specifically)
