Ladyfilosopher is on page 36 of 293 of Feminist Morality: Transforming Culture, Society, and Politics (Women in Culture and Society)
The 2nd chapter contains the comparison of Feminist Morality to calculating morality of Utilitarianism and the Rational morality of Kant. This is important setting of ground work for the rest of the discussion. These are important thought processes because we need to tease out the concepts to help see how and why the standard moralities of today do not fit, are not "applicable" to women, and quite frankly to Gaia

ethics: rigidity leading to loopholes search and creation. "mental reservation". My consideration is that in dominance -socialisation must often lie to power to keep boundaries. Due to the bad faith or at least biased sense of worth, power does not arbitrarily have a right to know anything it wants without criteria.

The discussion includes how patriarchy impacts men negatively, which in the light of the males being the main perps of violence in the world.

discovering that Heisenberg observation ".. what we observe is not nature herself, but nature exposed to our method of questioning." (p281) is the origin of a J Searle's statement that had impressed me. The discussion on boundaries helps me see where her thoughts are headed. She gives us the terms for which to exhilarate in our complexity as organic beings. I call the envy she mentions, "Creation Envy"

In reading this in 2022, I see how long the struggle for Credibility has been identified. I am startled that children have been blamed for the abuse that has happened to them. I was not aware that parents were being exhonerated in court and public opinion. That there be a wicked child theory was shocking to read about.

finally love comes into the equation. It took him a while AND he does not see it as a necessary drive for survival!! So, because he discounts its importance in materiality it MUST be extracorporeal? There is so much circular reasoning towards the end.

missing hypothesis: life, thru bodies-brains, gives rise to consciousness, that easily transcends materiality, joining sworling with the variety of consciousnesses, including non human, flowing everywhere it is needed, called upon. A flailing consciousness-soul calls for succour and the general flow steps in and provides collective resources. The many make the Single flow, not the other way around, no duality.

"Sexual assault and harassment are often repackaged as humor, guaranteeing that an accusation won’t elicit our concern. When abuse becomes a joke, we need not care, so we need not act. What may seem like harmless fun is in fact further violation." (so men are caught in a paradox, hurt by a 'joke')

I have this in both audible and kindle format. Upon listening again to how Science has so little to do with rape. That hit me as the biggest glitch in the "patrix" for holding men accountable in court, in the face of the law. A man saying he did not also plays into our human distaste for change, or rocking the boat, so he is believed. Accusers, mostly women, are asking the system to see its ugly side and react.

is my desire for a secular spirituality considered an oxymoron by many? What of the religious references & confusion betw New Age & yuppies? Only the new testament of patriarchal christianity talks of universal 'love' & so many who refer to the new testament distort this general call of universal love. The ones who hold love while talking truth to power, get assassinated. I mourn b.h.'s death. #EthicsofCare

Audible says I am on chpt 10. A symphony, and yet a symphonie in monologue. Other voices are almost the background sounds to indicate the context. I remember shifting away from imaging a personal life as a straight line. The circular movement of a forward moving spiral, twisting and orbiting in revisits to a place but in elapsed time, entropy, negentropy, syntropy in action on our selves and surroundings. So, here.

Thanks to some wise comments by fellow readers on Goodreads, I have been able to settle into the flow of his imagery. This then took a barrier away from how his descriptions of the countryside and the people are so similar to what I experienced as a foreigner living in another country's farmlands (vineyards specifically)
