omg i’m in pain make it stop

this part is the most painful part to get through….they really got me questioning myself and siding w the oppressor 😭

so far, feels like a “right book, wrong time” situation. i was hoping this to be more exciting, but the story is definitely interesting and i’ll definitely read the whole book

cannot get myself to continue, the storyline is so basic and wattpad-core, the mc violet is so “tiny small petite frail 🥺” i won’t let myself suffer more

so far it’s good! honestly not thrilling or anything, but it still is interesting. only wish we were given some more time with her learning her skills, and wish we had more of a “training arc” - more details ab her skills and how she learned them

the story definitely picked up, it felt slow at first but now i see the world/story-building come together

so far has just been context/world-building, doesn’t have me really hooked yet but also considering the size of the book i’m sure there’s a lot to cover so i’m not bored just yet

i just can’t wrap my head around how good of an analogy this book is to AI. how money and power impact your morality and humanity, how it impacts their actions

OH MY GOD THE FORESHADOWING NOOOOO NO WAY NO WAY

Up to like pg 200 it was a good book, kept me interested but that was it. Then after the specific point, wow it picked up FAST and had me hooked. Oh my gosh. Sciona is frustrating me so much with her devil’s advocate false hope, and she’s so self-absorbed and so obsessed with having her name in history that it’s clouding her judgement. Story so far has quite a heavy theme of racism and sexism

okay i mean i take it back that nothing is happening, i think it’s just a slower novel than what i was expecting

lowkey nothing has even happened yet…and i’m halfway through. but maybe that’s just the type of book this is, or maybe it’s my lack of literary experience showing

I don’t think i’ve disliked a main character more than Rin…genuinely have never seen a character so stubborn that never learns from her mistakes and past. So frustrating seeing her continue to be a bitch about everything

Only 26 pages in and Rin is already pissing me off. She’s so good at pissing me off….
