Okay. So, my first problem is this... A lass of ten and nine at her come out ball cannot be a countess. A countess is only made by marrying a Marquess.

The overuse of titles is grating on my nerves. "The Earl this", "The Duke that."

Okay, so, she's been in 1863 for three days and the Earl admits that he already has feeling for her and her daughter... Not to mention the fact that his Father, the Duke has died two years previous.. Now, I don't know about you, dear reader, but, um.... Yeah, the peerage titles aren't adding up. Quite about ready to flounce....

A few pages in and it felt like I was reading Twilight fan fiction. On page 62 now and I'm still thinking it.

Oh, jeez. They just meet and she's asking him if he is a stalker, then the next page she is asking for him to do her. In the most horrid grammar imaginable. The dialogue, what little there is thus far, is choppy and feels as if an eight year old wrote it.

Not sure how this is considered "best-selling." As of my current position I've notice a slew of grammatical errors & horrid grammar. For bow I shall motor on.

Aaaaand, I just read in a review that it ends in a cliffhanger. Hmmm. I'm quite tempted to put it down. As the reviewer stated, " Too many pages, not enough story." I wholeheartedly concur thus far. I'm 17% in and it's just the morning after.

Already finding myself skimming through the overabundance of internal dialogue & rambling.

Needs a seriously good grammar and punctuation edit, but I am liking the tension between King & Smith.

I'm hoping I will like it aside from the fact that the surnames are used so much (already) without commas. Should be "I like to know when I've got you rattled, Smith." Hopefully it shan't drive me batshit.

A wee bit too much modern English for a historical piece, a few typos & comma splices, but it's holding my attention fairly well.

Okay... Pet peeve alert. It's Jack Daniel's, not Daniels. The surname is singular, the apostrophe showing the namesake's possession. Sorry, but this one has always gotten to me.

I just can't finish knowing that the story doesn't end here and there are two more books to read. It's not held my interest as I'd hoped.

1/3 way through and I'm feeling so very many Twilight references/situations.....
