I would've bet that the chapter about his own opera would be one of the worst, but it's more about Walt Whitman and i enjoyed that.

As advertised, Aucoin's passion for opera fueled this reader's interest in the opening, more generic, chapters. Alas, when he gets into the musical details of specific operas, the blanket of my ignorance mostly kills the flame.
