This book is great! The prose is easy but the content is chewy, and the protagonist is neurodivergent and queer.

I have been pretty much ignoring the astrology bits in this book--the protagonist is into astrology in a very detailed way and I read them but don't try to process or make any sense of them. I hope the details of it aren't relevant to the plot.

This book is SO good. I was hesitant about reading something that had been translated, but the writing/language is great.

I finally just wiped the slate clean & removed/recategorized the 25 things on my "currently reading" list as "to come back to."

Maybe I will come back to them, maybe I won't, but it feels good to start fresh!

I'm only Did Not Finishing this because when I was reading it, long ago, I had to return it before I was done, and the topic isn't as interesting to me as it was many years ago - but it is a good book.

Started reading this after hearing a beautiful passage (about the shipping industry!) on the radio (on Planet Money, of all places!) Really enjoying it, it's easy and pleasant and interesting to move through.

Technically this is only available in the UK, but with some fancy footwork you can buy the kindle edition from the US. I'm only through the prologue but it's very good so far!

This book is a masterpiece! (Don’t be misled by the title into thinking it’s a beach read or something, though.)
