Lucia is one of my favorite reads - funny and quirky and always surprising me- but I am having a hard time getting into this one. The names are “odd/unique” and that usually falls into fantasy. I don’t usually read fantasy because I always end up calling them by first initials. That said I LOVE vampires so I jumped in and it’s a spin on vampires and I feel like I am missing a language class or dictionary.

I have loved all the series that I have read in Lucia’s library- now there have certainly been some WTH moments and some what am I drinking moments..but I always dive In. This new series is vampires - which has always been “my trope” they scare me the most & I love everything about them ( unless they sparkle) The first half of this book has been world building and I don’t love anyone yet…still lots to read!

Ughhhh - I find a few of this authors books that I enjoy and on the flip side I find those I don’t…this one is just so hard to get into…I have picked it up three times and tell myself ehhh it was on kindle unlimited, but the couple hours spent trying to get into it means wasted time, so will put aside and come back in another couple days.
