Can only seem to sit still long enough to get through this on flights - and my book is filled with enough notes to make me look crazier than the the various POVs in the book. Usually have to go back 20pgs to move forward again.

Have cried 3 times, cannot stop listening though. (I have the audible version). I am obsessed - better than game of thrones, even.

Not *quite* as enjoyable #1 - but entertaining nonetheless, enough so my next read is the next in the series.
Can’t adopt the main character as an 11yr old. In my mind she is closer to a precocious 14/15 yr old, otherwise I can’t fit 5
The knowledge & life experiences she references in her mystery solving into her lifetime, even as a bright, sheltered child surrounded by excellent books and well-quipped lab.

Cute, Comical Exploration of the multiverse concept.

Had to read this as follow up. It’s pretty good - interesting take ; occasionally I prickle at the way he degrades belief in any sort of God / infinite entity as passé “superstition” or ignorance. However, I note that the author is consistent in his view across the board, which lessons the sting somewhat. Otherwise, a very interesting and well thought out perspective.

I confess that at mid-point, I am frustrated. As a Geeky Gen-X’er and SCI-FI enthusiast, Kline’s work is nostalgia-filled crack to “My Kind.” However, as a veteran US Marine that entered service at the approximate age and maturity as our protagonist, I am constantly SMH at his disregard of experience & authority, especially in light of the plot crisis. I want to smack both he & Earth / Military leadership.

Reading “Black Leopard, Red Wolf” - I read and re-read certain passages.. I hate to put it down, and probably wouldn’t until I was through, if it weren’t for work, parenting, and needing sleep... and even then, I find myself constantly ruminating on the words and perspectives and events of the story.
