I confess that at mid-point, I am frustrated. As a Geeky Gen-X’er and SCI-FI enthusiast, Kline’s work is nostalgia-filled crack to “My Kind.” However, as a veteran US Marine that entered service at the approximate age and maturity as our protagonist, I am constantly SMH at his disregard of experience & authority, especially in light of the plot crisis. I want to smack both he & Earth / Military leadership.
