Trauma in family systems can look like family traits.

There was a study done in the Netherlands which found that the DNA in descendants of famine survivors reflected the trauma of famine even though that trauma never happened to them. Their body remembered something they never experienced.

But I don’t want to have to excel to be okay anymore.

My whole life, I was trying to win over people’s affection to somehow prove that I was worthy and good enough.

A thing I love about traveling - flying - is all the reading time. There’s literally nothing else to do! No WiFi! No laundry to be moved from the washer to the dryer, or folded! No dishes! No food to cook! Can’t even get myself a snack!

I have read 150 pages today!

This book has me thoroughly intrigued and puzzled. I was even trying to work out the plot in my dreams last night…
