setting aside the obvious indifference to the families by assuming emotions, assigning thoughts and feelings that they may not have been experiencing during these moments, i think the book should've left out the actual information about the killer (his background, etc.) and focused on the families. there are beautiful moments that the families, friends, and community experiences that are the true highlight of mkxe.
