I was in awe of the writing by 25%. The way the author accentuates language & culture seems to bolden the changes that occur as time goes on through the story

Engrossing after the first 10%.

Upside of audiobooks, I don’t skip chapters. Upside of ebooks/physical books, I use my eyeballs to meditate.

2025: I stopped this series 15% into this book Oct 2nd. I think the vibe wasn’t vibing for the read or maybe I decided to not to force myself to finish this series in 2025 & to focus reading efforts on a different spread of genres and books.

2026: Have to reread the pages I read 6 months ago, my brain dumped out the info without clearing it with me first.

Kinda meh, slash it lulls a bit in the middle. Waiting to see if the second half delivera

Was I just subconsciously waiting* for a war to break out so the relevancy of this book would be heightened? Dunno.

My return to reading this book has me newly focused on its setting.
