I chose to read this book for the title only. My mother and her family is from Galveston and family still lives there. Prior to this book I wasn’t aware that there had been such a devastating hurricane that hit this area in 1900. This was a great book with reminders that even in the midst of any storm God is still there. 💜

Wow! Jeanette went through a lot. My heart goes out to her and I hope she finds the strength and peace along her journey. Very insightful read, watched her grow and you just never know what someone journey has been. A reminder to be kind 💜

I couldn’t get into the book to finish. I’ll come back to this later.
