JRJR's super angular art ain't doing it for me. Can't tell who the Avengers kids are supposed to be, except the person with Captain America's shield.

This book will not change your opinion of the comedic talents of the author.
Also, this feels like what Woody Allen's old New Yorker humor articles would be, if I could manage to not be bored by them.

Aww, I've missed Ultimate Spider-Man drama (though I kinda forget the specifics about Ultimate Gwen Stacy). Except for Mysterio, all the fights have been pointless (which happened a bunch in the first USM, too).

I like that there's a character called the Phantom Reporter. Mildly annoyed by the references to Marvel's Civil War.

Oh, I don't know about this one. At first, there sure seemed to be a lot of boring dialogue, but it's picked up a bit. Still not sure about this "scatter" spell stuff.

It's okay, but the new character's sections are kind of a bore.

I like when Diana is interacting with the Greek gods, as she is here.

Oh man, the main story was kinda hard to follow. Now, I'm on all the backstory tie-in comics. Seems unnecessary!

Aww, he's talking about real-life tech stuff (botnets, AR) alongside fake stuff (truancy moblogs that let jerks report kids who aren't in school). Neat. Then, there's a bunch of national security interrogation stuff that's not quite as interesting.

Just finished a chapter on interviewing that ended on a sad note. About to go have an interview. Oh boy.

A really enjoyable audiobook, read by Edward Herrman, the grandpa on Gilmore Girls. Makes me reminisce about Illinois, specifically C-U, Mike Royko and Chicago.

Reading a heavy book as you try to fall asleep: surprisingly good idea.

I over-guessed my progress. Tons o' this book left to read. Including on how meat muscles are different colors. I'll need to be on the lookout for purple.

I've been reading this while I sleep, including re-reading a bunch on eggs, the most incredible food there is. Some of the simplest stuff is kinda astounding. For instance: you should cut meat against the grain so that you can chew with the grain. How did I not learn this?

Characters who are literary critics! Baseball!

Really good, but now I have to go back and re-read volume 1, because I remember it being super-awesome, but I don't remember the plot or characters.

Really enjoyable so far, though I question the "training montage"-esque time travel I just finished. I also keep having thoughts of advanced statistics (which suggest fielding is important but not ultra-important).

I'm on a break, finishing another book. Always amusing--I want to go to the map library at the Library of Congress--but not grabbing me as much as Brainiac.
