This series should be more popular.

I get that this is romantasy, but is it also a murder mystery? And how is the main character not completely traumatized by being orphaned at a young age, raised by some rando to be an assassin, and then sent to prison? And now everything is cool at this weird royal competition? What is even happening here?!

This is excellent so far.

Apparently I read this 9 years ago when I was on maternity leave and I have absolutely no recollection of the plot or anything. I’m halfway through on my second read and nothing is coming back to me. Sleep deprivation and postpartum anxiety are a helluva drug!

Is this an epic fantasy or just smut? Up until 75% of the way through, I thought it was epic fantasy. Now I feel like I’m just in it for the sex scenes. 🤷‍♀️

This series is always so fun.
