Plot. Where the bork is it? We’re at Hogwarts, but where the monsters at?

Plot pulls you through the story, so it’s no wonder we’re stalling.

I’m stalling halfway through this … bleh

Loving it, but at my speed, 1,405 poems left doesn’t bode well for this library book!

It’s interesting, but it’s making me uncomfortable.

I am not being pulled along by this much at all. Putting it on the back burner for now.

Surprising content for this being juvenile lit. I am wanting to like it — but I was disappointed at one scene in particular. Glad I was reading aloud so I could censor for my daughter.

I’m back in college, listening to a passionate teacher talking Shakespeare. I love that my four year old has jumped onboard with memorizing from A Midsummer Nights Dream. She is faster than I am!

Accidentally read this one before number two, but no matter. Still hilarious.

Can’t get through this one!! He has some good things to say, but the book lacks structure so far.

Delightful to read aloud, the long sentences just roll off the tongue. Daughter chose this since Dahl is one of her favorite authors—brother heard it being read aloud and ran to listen in as well.

Taking me forever, you have to puzzle these stories out like poetry. Beautifully written ... some are a little dark/heavy. Love the MS Natchez trace references.

Almost finished... wow, what a beautiful book. Spellbinding prose. Awe-inspiring faith. I’ve cried so many tears. Just when I think Joni’s arrived spiritually, she shares another pain, another moment of anguish as God prunes her. We need to hear that! Sanctification isn’t finished on this side of life ...
