If you don’t listen to the audiobook of this, ya messed up! Jo should narrate basically every audiobook

This is the ugliest cover so far. Bravo Europa editions

These Europa edition covers keep getting worse

Fun, but probably the thing that will stick with me is the time he fucks a vacuum

Clever; a fun, not-very-deep read.

Can someone please tell me if this gets better because I’m finding it pretty cheesy so far

I am loving this one too but sometimes you have to put Knausgård down when he gets too boring (which happens, it’s kind of his thing)

I haven’t finished this book yet but man can fucking Tolstoy write a story… every time I read something by him I’m sobbing, experiencing transcendence, etc. the writing advice is nice too I guess

God I absolutely hate this writing style

As silly as the book is I’m genuinely getting into it at this point lol

Sexist, poorly written, admittedly quite spooky

I admire aspects of this book (the structure namely) but my god is it horribly written on a sentence by sentence level. I feel like I’m reading a predecessor to r/nosleep. It’s very 90s

Can’t tell if my quarantine brain is bad or if this writer really is as opaque as she comes across. Slog but I’m halfway through so will finish.

Every time I read this I want to murder Nell. Everything could have been avoided if she wasn’t such a prick!

lol wanted something short to read

I’m finally finishing this tonight. Lots of thoughts. Also suck it Mayor Pete!!!!!
