What is it with the parents in these kinds of books?! None of them ever stand up for their children and fall for the smile the guy flashes. Like can they ever think about the details of the situation and why their children act up towards them?? Her goddamn mother said “I wish I had a son like you” IN FRONT of her son and seemed to forget the the friend of her daughter’s GROPER might actually have ill intent

Sometimes I feel like this was written by a man

Any time he thinks about why Rory deserves better it’s only because she’s beautiful, sexy, hot, and gorgeous. He reduces her to nothing but looks and thinks about what she should be doing for him and why. He also says that her exes didn’t treat her like a woman even though she is sexy and that no matter what she’s a girly girl meaning she should be treated delicately and has no business working a man’s job

This is sooooo painfully reverse haram-y. I think i was lied to again. Everyone praises the “enemies to lovers” trope in this and while they might actually mutually hate each other, the constant thoughts about how hot the heirs are and descriptions of how handsy they are is killing the vibe. Darcy is still weak as fuck. She trusts their word too much but acts like she knows they’re using her when she doesn’t

Darcy is weak as fuck. Grow a goddamn spine! She’s so docile and obedient but randomly has these bursts of sass that feel so out of character. It’s like we’re supposed to see her as this sweet but defiant heroine (when she tells Orion she doesn’t belong to him). I was told the enemies to lovers in this is outstanding but it feels like such a reverse haram.

I just can’t. I’m so close to finishing it and I just can’t. I’ve reached the point when the climax is over and they’ve decided to be together. So of course, it’s boring as fuck. I’m so tired I just can’t with their bullshit.

This book started off with good writing and now I feel like it’s gotten so immature. The way she talks irks me, especially with that whole “flirting” and “the truth” scene. Wtf. Smiling and saying hi to strangers as you walk past them IS NOT FLIRTING! There’s no way this man is interested in this childish, voyeuristic GIRL.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to like this book. I like it but it feels illegal given what it’s about

It feels like this book was written by two people. The first half is the crappiest written shit I’ve ever laid my eyes upon and the second half is less crappy. I’m actually slightly interested and not entirely repulsed my the wording. It’s still bad bad but not as much
