This is SOOOO good. So incredibly good. There are times while reading this memoir when my heart breaks for Lidia Yuknavitch and yet, I have so much admiration for her. She is a serial survivor. A total serial survivor.

I only found out about Lidia's new book about three weeks ago. I hadn't heard about it, why I don't know. So, I ordered it and had to wait almost two weeks for it to arrive. It came three days ago, and I've been reading it ever since. Let me tell you, it is so good. She has such an elegant, and inventive way of writing. And her brutal honesty is so powerful. She has led an amazing life. This is a great book!

Well, I've had this book for over ten years, and never seemed to have the time to read it. Started and stopped three or four times. I started reading it last night, and man, after getting past the first three chapters or so, I can't put it down. Number one, Kathy Dobie is a GREAT writer. Her prose is elegant, insightful and even funny. I'm loving this book and I know it's going to get better and better.

I wrote this BIO for my dear friend JD, who died from preventable heart disease in 2021. Goodreads is cool like that. I tried my best to take care of JD but he was determined to kill himself. I'm still mad at him. He should be here, smoking his bong & laughing with me in his airy 1905 walk-up that I loved to visit so much. Rest in Peace JD, you big dummy.

Gosh, this book is AMAZING. I tried to read it a couple years ago, & got side tracked but I'm back to it and reading it steadily now. It is such a good book. I think what I like most is how unreliable Anna Fox is. The name is a bit hilarious, too. Anna Fox, come on! Sounds like a Porn name. But reading about a drunk woman, who is house bound, because of her own fractured psyche, well, it's just really entertaining.

This is such a great book. I'm having such a fun time reading it.

The FAKE accounts are on the rise again. If you see a GENERAL JAMES STEPHEN, with a phony Bio Pic of a guy in a general's uniform, delete it. It is a FAKE account. I get these bogus accounts several times a month. The red flag is a last name that is generally a first name. Like Robert Mike, or Bill Andrew. Or James Stephen. Be on the lookout. They come here with a sob story, and then beg for your hard earned money.

Wow. This book is amazing. Written by a serial killer, the notorious Roy Archibald Hall. Written in first person, it's an interesting trip into the mind of a complete sociopath. He killed FIVE people and was completely caught up in the high life of money, fine clothes, and exquisite cuisine. Not a very deep person. But the writing is TOP NOTCH and it's fascinating to learn about the mind of a shameless predator....

I was asked recently why I still write book reviews here on Goodreads, now that I'm an author. Unbelievable. I love writing and I love writing book reviews. Just because I'm busy with writing and publishing doesn't mean I can't still post book reviews here on Goodreads. LOL...

Finally reading this great book. It is SOOOOO good. My second book about the issue of a parent who hoards and the children who try to survive. A fascinating topic..

Gosh, this is one of the best books I've ever read. I'm so invested in this girls's success. And her struggles seem so familiar. This is without a doubt one of the best, most moving books I've ever read. So, sad, and moving and funny, with some graphic memories I can certainly relate to...

I've been having a hard time connecting with a book, the last 2 years. Working all the time, editing & publishing books, with Oregon Greystone Press, our publishing company can be exhausting. But this book is SO good. She's a smart girl, younger than my daughter, but I love her character. An unabashed book nerd, who loves to read, and study and think. And the book is FUNNY. Really funny! I'm enjoying it so much.

Rest in peace Jason De Salvo, you were lovely. Thank you for publishing me in the Bicycle Review, and for always being an ear for me. Thank you for encouraging me when I was down. I'm so glad I sent you that care package in 2020. Full of nice, delicious things I knew you would love. I wish you were still here, Jay. You are missed so much...

This book is a page turner. I can't believe what an incredible writer this young woman is. She is only 22... and yet, she has her own very discernible and unique voice. I look forward to her future as a writer, because she definitely has a long future in writing. What a lovely girl.

This young woman is a fine, FINE writer. This is a fun, quick, well-written and thoughtful read. I am impressed.
