i think i saw this recommended by naomi novik (in the acknowledgements section of a deadly education or one of its sequels?) and have been curious to read it ever since.. here i go!

i LOVED this series to bits when i read it a decade ago, and i knew i had to do a reread before watching the tv adaptation. except, i couldn't wait, and i watched the show, and... i'm disappointed in the books but really enjoying the show!?

absolutely devouring this one - kamila shamsie's prose is so compulsively readable! plus, i'm very much enjoying tania rodrigues's audiobook narration 🥰

not enjoying this one as much as i thought i would 😔

i didn't set out to start, back-to-back, two lit fic novels featuring women in nyc... but here we are 😂

after a month-long hiatus i am finally back to pick this book up again 😂 please wish me luck
